TLC Counselling Hub Founder & Director Nicky Bates

In the summer of 2019, Nicky founded the award-winning TLC Counselling Hub after years of experience as a Nurse Lecturer at Southampton University. She is a qualified psychotherapist, counsellor, life coach, and ADHD screener, and now provides comprehensive ADHD assessments.

Nicky also offers Crystal Therapy (The Power Hour) for clients seeking a lighter, more intuitive and fun approach to therapy.

Additionally, Nicky offers workplace supervision to two local companies and provides counselling and mentorship support to Level 4 students. Her areas of expertise include:

Nicky is very passionate about her clients and works very closely with the LGBTQ+ and Neurodivergent communities.

Meet The Gang!

We are thrilled to introduce Caroline, our newest team member at TLC Hub, who has already begun working with us. Caroline, from Mysia Wellness, is passionate about offering compassionate, trauma-informed therapy and coaching.

With training in psychology, NLP, counselling, and life skills coaching, Caroline is also equipped to provide therapy for families of neurodivergent children. Drawing from her own lived experience and expertise in autism, ADHD, and PTSD, Caroline creates a safe space for parents to reset their thoughts and emotions.

Caroline Maitland from Mysia Wellness is a well-being and life skills coach trained in psychology, NLP, and Counselling.

 

Dr Roger Hinton is a Psychotherapist from the renowned Mindspace Foundation.

Dr Hinton educated in Surrey and Cambridge universities, is a qualified psychotherapist from the renowned Mindspace Foundation.

As an integrative counsellor Roger can tailor the best intervention to best suit the needs of his clients, by integrating CBT, Psychodynamic, Person Centred (PCT) and Transactional Analysis (TA) modalities.

Roger has also had over 25 years of service with the Samaritans and with Cruse Bereavement helplines.

Cecily is a compassionate, person-centered therapist who puts your unique experience at the heart of her practice.
She provides a warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace, safe in the knowledge that you are genuinely heard and understood.
​Alongside her professional training, Cecily brings personal lived experience of chronic anxiety and OCD, with a deep understanding of intrusive thoughts. She knows firsthand how isolating, exhausting, and frightening these struggles can be, and how easy it is to feel misunderstood.
Cecily believes that no one has to carry this weight alone, and she works collaboratively with clients to foster self-acceptance, and a life driven by personal values rather than fear.
